Mission:
The Chinese School is one of the ministries at the Fort Bend Community Church. Our goals are to serve the community and to promote the learning of Chinese culture. Curriculum will mainly emphasize in Chinese language learning, supplemented with biblical teaching. This is to provide a loving and caring environment based on Christianity for the students to learn and grow.

About the School:
Inside the school’s computer room, there are many computers installed with Chinese window and software. Senior students will be taught how to type Chinese using the software while junior students will learn Chinese through story telling and computer games. The use of multimedia is a good tool to arouse the interest of Chinese learning among our students.

Each year, the school will also organize seminars conducted in Chinese that cover many extensive Chinese cultural topics. These activities serve to encourage the understanding of the very essence of Chinese culture. In addition, the Chinese school library has a large collection of books, audios and videos for teachers, parents and students to borrow.

Besides Chinese language and Chinese computer skills, student will also learn about Chinese folklores and traditional Chinese calligraphy. Last but not least, the school also organizes many special talks for parents as well.

Curriculum options:

1. Zhuyin Mandarin: Zhuyin, traditional Chinese – 1st grade to 12th grade
2. Pinyin Mandarin: Pinyin, simplified Chinese – 1st grade to 9th grade
3. Cantonese: Traditional Chinese – 1st grade to 12th grade

Admission information:


School year: Mid August, 2007 to end of May, 2008
Time: Every Sunday 1:15 pm to 3:00 pm except holidays
Class size: 5-12 students per class
Age: 5-17 year-old
Fee: $180 per year plus $20 registration fee (non-refundable)

To register, please submit a Registration Form to the registrar during school hours. Onsite registration is accepted on Sundays from 12:30 – 1:30pm in July and August. Enrollment is limited to available space. Registration Form can be obtained from the Chinese School front desk in person or downloaded online at www.fbcchome.org.
